We enjoyed a beautiful day out in the mountains finding great riding conditions. The recent snow in the past couple weeks seems to have helped the snow pack begin to heal in areas that hold greater snow depths and haven't avalanched. We had some expected results in our snow pit and have a long way to go towards fully healing the snow pack but it's a start.
Pit Location: Lower Days Fork 9,150' E facing
Pit Stats: HS:145cm Layer of Concern:40cm
Notable Results: ECTP23@40cm Full propagation towards the bottom of the pack at the top most of three melt freeze crusts. Facets were found between these crusts from 40Cm to ground. The bottom most layer from about 20cm down to ground were moist.
