Quick report
Snowshoed from Grouse Meadows to Wolf Creek via Summit Meadows today. There was solid snow coverage on all observed north-facing aspects and traversable coverage down Summit Meadows Road until the junction with Wolf Creek Road. Isolated areas on north facing aspects in the treeline were observed to have roughly 5 in of partially-faceted crystals on top of an ice crust. My guess is that the snow is "drying out" over night and forming facets then partially rounding during the day when temperatures are in the 30s.
