Quick report
Tested the snow stability with a ski cut on a very steep isolated southerly slope and had no reactivity (photo 1). Many had done the same on the shady side of the gulch (photo 2)-- zero movement in the new snow.
New snow was light-- too light for good turns on top of old tracks!
