-
Skiing out of Catcher's Mitt this afternoon we tried to cut into the steeper runs on the skiers right. Friend started traversing in and wet sluff started to release out from under his skis. The sluff increased in size and it went down and ran for a very long time. We were trying to traverse over to the more north facing aspect but decided it wasn't worth it since the further out he traversed the more exposed he'd be to snow above him. We didn't realize how wet the snow got as we lost elevation. Decided to keep it on mellower terrain the rest of the way down. Occasionaly on a short steep rollover a small sluff would release but ran slow and not far.
