I Triggered 2 very small windslabs. Investigated both. Both similar. 2nd was a test slope.

Both slabs 1 to 4 finger, inverted, weak layer 5" down.

Weak layer was old snow/newer snow

Newer snow being snow the light /maby faceting?

Old snow being firm crust/ bed.

Crown variable but no more than 6"- at first I thought it was faceting below crust because I was punching Thur the bottom (soon to be bed) when I triggered. Variable crown and pockety nature changed my mind

1st one was just off ridge ran 90' very second one @ 9800' bit more protected ran 10' /test slope.

Today I saw new overnight snow 1"- light density peppering of grauple. Some snow movement on ridges from a.m. moderate west wind w gusts in 20s

Light snow fell in am. 1/8" or less accumulation. Cold. Today's forcast nailed it. I'd call today moderate above 9500 low today w wind drifted snow being sensitive. Keeping an eye on snow surface and faceting around crusts.
