Wimpy's standard ascent today, strong wind gusting to intense. Cross loading from left to right (S to N) while ascending, standard ascent track was stripped of new snow in many places from 8K ft and up. Cracking observed < ski length in multiple locations on convex terrain features on the leeward side of the ascent track. Snow pit did not result in propagation although storm interfaces were clearly visible. Warm and wet on the egress in the afternoon, precipitation above 7500' seemed to be mostly snow late this afternoon.
