Quick report
We toured up the standard route to Wimpy's and Albright. Crust on E/SE aspects beneath several cms of new snowfall up to 10,000 feet. Noted small pockets of wind slab, some in unpredictable areas due to shifting winds. Overall, stable weather generally creates safe riding conditions. That said, there are a lot of variable wind directions and swirling in the mountains that have loaded many features. Watch for exposed rollovers, gullies, or rocky outcrops. Look for cracking, stiff drifts, and other signs of recent wind-transported snow. Safe travel practices are essential still; one at a time in avalanche terrain and good comms will reduce exposure to hazards.
