Quick report

Attempted one of the southerly crags in the breccia area. Hasty pit in the apron at 10200ish revelead a plethora of crusts with facets in various stages of development. Basal layer was hearty well developed rounds that really wanted to be wet. Total snow depth about 2 1/2 feet on high exposed southerly. On the climb pole probes found very hollow basal pockets. Small crown half way up that broke the width of the tube about 8inches deep. Appeared to be a natural that failed during loading from the nw winds on Thursday. The debris ran the the length of the tube to apron. Slab was obviously visible and continued up to the top. Bailed back down. Already decent surface faceting in the meadows.
