Low snow conditions. 54-65cm HS st 6900’. Top 4-8” of surface snow has faceted and very large surface hoar is prevalent thought the area. Especially on NW-E aspects. Didn’t come across any thing that would warrant concern at the moment. However the change in the surface snow will become an issue once it becomes buried with new snow if it ever comes. We will be doing a snow pit tomorrow for class.
