Quick report
Gusty winds helped reduce surface melt at higher elevations. We found ideal corn skiing on SE aspects N/ATL around 11:15 a.m. Low elevations were seeing more meltwater; the snowpack was still supportive to skis but became trapdoor to boot pen and occasionally snowmobile pen by this afternoon. Apart from a very wet snow surface, structures remain mostly dry on northerlies BTL, and could become more problematic if water mobilizes deeper into the snowpack. Southerlies have matured through multiple melt cycles and appear to be more resilient to incoming meltwater.

Gusty winds above treeline were still blowing small amounts of dry snow, corn snow, and crusts into the air, but not loading snow anywhere.

We skier-triggered a few tiny wet loose avalanches in very steep terrain on SE and E aspects, N to BTL.
