Quick Observation
We went 200m or so up the N ridge from Balu pass, then skied down the way up. Nice and mellow riding along some wind loaded areas along the ridge. We found some great powder, no crust. Only some ice chunks once we dropped below the pass. Once we hit the skin track along the creek we found packed powder and some icy pump track sections, and we had to walk up a couple small and short bumps, but there was full coverage and no shenanigans. Overall the ski out was nothing to complain about. Lots of folks went up bruins pass and grizzly, but didn’t see anyone towards Cheops, likely due to wind loading. Too foggy that direction to have gotten a good view of the N bowl.
