Kootenay Pass

Toured around Kootenay Pass today, conditions started out sunny with cloudy periods in the morning and got cloudy by 10:00. Snow conditions were mainly dense powder with about 10cm of ski penetration on north slopes on south slope the snow was very dense with little ski penetration which made skiing tricky. We saw no signs of any avalanche conditions other than some minor stuffing on steep south slopes where the snow slid off trees when the sun was out.
