We started skiing up around 1000 and I think there were two groups in front of us. We followed the ski-up tracks for approx 500m elevation gain and passed the previous group transition-to-downhill place. We avoided the potential run-out zone and deep terrain, then stopped at another 100m elevation gain when we heard a big sound of settlement which was just around us. We switched to downhill mode and I saw that a group of three skied up just about 500m below the slope where we were. The avalanche ran down on our left hand about 20m away while we skied down the slope. I believe the group of three was safe because my partner and I checked the track and run-out zone. When we were back on the highway, the two other vehicles left already.
Otherwise, it was a good deep powder day in burned trees.
