Travel below treeline pretty rugged, approach was still pretty thin with lots of exposed logs, etc. Noticed a recent size 1 slab in steep terrain while skinning up.
Enjoyed some mellow slopes in gladed terrain. In the alpine, conditions looked pretty rocky so we stayed below treeline.
Third skiier across popped a 5 metre long slab to the Nov 22 crust traversing across a wind loaded convexity. Slab was on a supported slope of around 30 degrees and didn't slide. Noticed shooting cracks throughout the day. Natural avalanche off North face of Cirque Forpeak at 3PM in steep, wind loaded terrain. Couldn't tell the size, but saw a large powder cloud.
Exited via the creekbed. Travel was pretty challenging with the creek still open.
