Busy day out in the slack country. Numerous groups around kokanee bowl. Lots of tracks around most of the bowl. The last rider in what I believe was a group of 4 triggered a sizeable avalanche 1/3 of the way down the bowl, having descended from the ridge. It was triggered on what appeared to be the lee side of a steeper slightly convex feature in the bowl. The crown seemed to be around 40cm deep. The rider was caught but deployed their airbag and managed to stay afloat and seemed unharmed at the bottom of the bowl.
