Quick Observation
Warmed a lot as we skied up (probably from around -8 to -1), and the recent storm snow became progressively more reactive. Our tests were getting easy results from around 25cm down. As we skied down (around 1pm, earlier than planned but we didn't want to hang out as the snow got more reactive) the snow was cracking and displaying obvious signs of slabbing at the same 25cm ish layer, but wasn't propogating widely. We skied slopes around 25-30 degrees that had been skied extensively before us, which could be why there was no major propogation. I'd be nervous on steeper, wide open slopes. I imagine that slab is only going to get more consolodated and reactive as things get warmer. Be careful everybody!
