Quick Observation

Skied around the S2SG today and found a crust from Feb 12th's warmup at pretty much all aspects/elevations. On the road, there was dust on saturated snowpack. 1200 to 1500m was a thin, breakable melt-freeze layer over quite a bit of fresh snow with 5cm fluff on top. 1500m to ridge top was a firm, supportive 5mm ice crust. Lots of icy rime on trees and rocks at ridge crest. Pockets of fluffy snow made for fun skiing among the boilerplate sections but no notable windslab. Sun was just occasionally peeking out for moments but was strong when it did!
