Quick report
- Red Flags Comment
-
I did not observe any red flags while I was out today, but conditions were changing with winds on the increase and an approaching storm.

A few photos of the Double Hill area in Whitney Basin and what the conditions look like before the next storm. It is not solid white across the whole slope and the new snow will fall on different surfaces. Depending how the storm treats the Uintas, there might be some isolated and pockety natural avalanche activity on slopes that have snow on them now.
Maybe with a foot of new snow some of the lower meadows might offer some riding where there is snow already.
Snowpack
Loose faceted surface snow where the wind has not blown it around while along the ridge lines and sun exposed places the snow is firm and crusted.
