Quick report
Our group of 4 skiers and 2 dogs skied along forest road 174 near the Wolf Creek area. As we veered from the forest road (packed down by motorized vehicles) and into meadows, we experienced several cases of the snow collapsing. Over the distance of only a couple of miles, we lost count of the number of collapses. We dug a pit on a north aspect above Silver Meadow and found two distinct persistent weak layers.
