-
No red flags where I traveled today, the mid-elevation terrain that I moved through appeared to handle the storm quite well with no avalanche activity.

-
I kept my travels in the mellow range today and did not see much higher elevation terrain where wind drifted slopes might have been a factor. The few wind slabs I came across were unreactive and just along the exposed ridges.

From what I saw today, it did not look like this storm tipped the scales and the weak January Dry Layer is getting buried with a deeper slab on top.

A great storm for the north slope with around 10" at the trailhead and upwards of 16" at the mid-elevations on the east side. Seemed like a right side up storm with dense snow to start out and ending with some great low density snow. The riding and turning conditions were quite good and it felt like a winter type storm.
