Wind affected snow on both sides of the ridge. Observed a lot of cracks shooting away from skin track. Riding on mellow slopes would produce similar results. Didn't feel like it would have the potential to step down to deeper layers of concern. Riding in wind-sheltered trees didn't produce any results even on steeper slopes. Punch crust under about 5 to 10 cm of refresh snow on some sun effected slopes. Still hazards of rocks and dead fall in the trees.
