Upper Burnt

<p>Today in the upper burnt riding area we had a awesome day of riding and busting trail. We dug our pit above the cut blocks on the way into the bowls above the cabin. Our pit had 3 reactive layers. Elevation: 1250m Aspect:NE Incline:26 degrees Wind: calm Precipitation: Nil Sky: broken Air temp: -5.6 total Hight of snow 160-180cm In our compression tests we had 3 layers react in the moderate and hard range. The snowpack was fairly well set up and being right side up. Our first layer of concern was down 28-30cm reacting on a storm interface CTM13. Our next layer was down 45cm reacting on a storm interface resistant planner with CTH23. Our deepest reactive layer was down 63-65cm reacting on a facet crust layer this layer reacted in the hard range at CTH24 resistant planer The snow pack was still soft but the deeper you dug the more set up it was. With the snow staying nice and soft on the surface the concern would be wind slabs starting to form in higher elevations. Get out there and have fun and play safe! </p>
