Quick report

Collapsing
widespread

Pole tests showed how easily wet loose features were ready to trigger. Even on small isolated slopes it was quite easy, and fun, to get rollerballs going that would run and build quite substantially. The Bridal Veil Falls to Lake Serene Trail was safe.

Avalanche

Middle and North Index above Lake Serene as viewed from Lunch Rock. East aspects. Naturally occuring. No one caught. Around noon on 22 March. Narrow avalanches mostly occurring through the gullies between the peaks. Hard to judge their size from across the lake. But for the approximately 20 minutes I was sitting by the lake, it was near constant whumpfing and small avalanches.
