Windswept day up on the Muir snowfield above Panorama Point. Surface is crusty with some small hollow-sounding slabs scattered about. Pan Face had a couple inches of new over the windswept crust mentioned by the volunteer ski patrol. Noticed isolated cracking on certain convex rolls on the west side of the ridge above the crest. Skiing was horrific down the snowfield to 8500ft. A nice corn cycle had set up by 2:30pm from 7000ft. Soft snow below 7000.
