Quick report
Photos from the top of Alpental at around 10 am. Cloud cover rolled in from the S/E not much later. Continuous light snow since around noon. No obvious crowns from a quick perusal of the images -- plenty of wind-scouring and drifts in interesting places. S/E slopes between ~3500' and 4,000' at Alpental (Snake Dance, especially) were surprisingly firm, unlike other aspects. Unclear if this was due to sun-effect, E wind scouring, or accumulated ski traffic. Vertfest was cool -- fun spectating following the leaders around.
