Quick report
Heavy snow then wind crust above treeline made for difficult travel conditions, but uptrack tests yielding good results and kept us going into lower consequence terrain. At a NE Aspect at 5.4k along the Sulphide Glacier Route produced ECT-2 Q1 8", turned around after that. Noticed several crusts in the profile, but the midstorm interface at 8" produced consistent results and others were more stubborn. Snow line for most recent storm was maybe 3.7k around Shuksan, wet snow down low as a result of rain. Surface runnels on slopes around 5k, maybe this was from previous storm. Most cornices had fallen, and there was not much snow hanging around on rocky outcroppings after this big warm/rain event. Large roller balls on solar aspects, as well as several wet loose slides.
Avalanche
Several d1-2 slab avalanches (cornice collapse?) around 6k on south aspects, wet loose slides on all solar aspects.
