Quick report

Compression test resulted in a shear at 220 cm (40 cm down from the surface) after 24 progressively harder taps. When we removed that top block and redid the compression test for the remaining 220 cm of the column, we got no shear after 30 taps. No instability experienced

Snowpack

At our test pit, the snow was 260 cm deep. We found the facet layer at 140 cm up from the ground. It was a very sugary, crumbly mixture of snow facets. The attached Snow Pilot summary contains the results of our compression test.
