We managed to get the top 4” of fluff from last weekend’s snowfall to sluff with us on buried surface hoar on NEE facing steep >35 degree slopes. Enough to possibly throw someone off balance and into something bad, like a cliff. SE facing slopes had a mostly supportive 1” suncrust under the 4” fluff. But surface hoar above the crust allows the fluff to slide on >30 degree slopes. The top foot of snow was not sintering much. Below that, solid.
