Quick report

Beautiful day for a short tour with clear skies and light winds in this area. Air temps and snow surfaces were cold this morning, but quickly rose during the day. By noon, sticky snow and a few small roller balls were present on S aspects. There was ample evidence of previous wind transport in this area, with wind scouring and wind textured surfaces. However wind textured snow was soft, and stepping on small wind features did not produce any cracking or collapsing. Plumes of blowing snow apparently from east winds could be seen on peaks further south along the crest. Lots of water still flowing in open creeks and wet areas at lower elevations.
