Quick report
The snowpack has seen significant melt due to multiple days of warm temperatures, strong sun effect, and evening temperatures that remained well above freezing. Runnels were seen in Chute, Headwall, The Lip, and Sluice. Observed some falling ice, mostly by Sluice, but also by The Lip and Headwall. For the most part these were smaller chunks, but large ice remains above and is a serious hazard to be mindful of.
Significant snowmelt is flowing and currently undermining The Lip. The main waterfall has already opened a large hole in the snowpack to the lookers left of The Lip and with continued warm temperatures this weekend is expected to grow in size. Falling into this hole is a significant hazard.
