Quick report
There were no signs of instabilities on the longer 35-40 degree slope after the crux. Couldn't get a photo of the avalanche because it was too foggy for my camera to pick up.
Avalanche
Set off a small D1 avalanche while snowboarding down a small untouched 50 degree crux section off Big Chief Mountain. Avalanche traveled for about 30 metres from the instantiation point. Wouldn't of been big enough to bury me or my partner. Partner was above the avalanche and I snowboarded off the to the side.
