Quick report
Went hunting for cold snow on North Aspects based on an observation in the bear gap bowl area. First skinned up typical skin track lookers left of 3 way peak. Snow was very wind affected and lots of refrozen Avy debris. We found our pocket of cold snow in the run called “sparkle party” in the side shielded from the wind by the cliff. Snow was decent actually in these small pockets (soft and fun to turn on). Anywhere too steep had Avy debris that was refrozen (rock hard). There is good snow to be found in wind shielded, N aspect slopes, that did not slide previously.
