Quick report
Quick update before warming and snow moves in. No overt signs of instability all day in bowl or chutes. Hoar frost only exposed near the ridge crest that remains shallow and wind scoured. Dug one pit in the sugar bowl just below ridge line that showed a weakness around 1.5' down with a clean break on ECT. Presuming windslab as it was inconsistent with other zones and reinforces forecasting for the day. Light south winds only felt near ridge line. Warming snow apparent below around 5,200' as we descended back to the road. Great skiing in the chutes, no slabs or cracking, just minor sloughing.
