Quick report

Wide spread surface hoar from 5,000'-6,000'. Sheltered areas held 6-10cm of fresh snow with great ski conditions. Mostly skied a south facing aspect @ 6,000' and found good ski conditions until the slope angle grew greater than 25 degrees. Steeper slopes on solar aspects absorbed too much solar radiation from the last few days and has developed a punchy crust. Dug a pit @ 6,000' on a south aspect to observe our recent snow fall. What I found was generally a right side up snowpack ranging from 110cm-120cm! At the base of the snowpack was softer rounded grains, likely from warm ground temps. In the pit I did one ECT and the result was ECTX.
