Warm temperatures with wet snow and slush puddles on Blue Lakes Road. Off-trail, warmer aspects seemed to be better adjusted to above freezing temperatures. Surface penetration was less deep on warm slopes than on cold slopes, and natural wet loose activity was seen on almost every steep and "cold" slope, but none was seen on warm slopes.

Afternoon winds and increasing clouds did appear to reduce afternoon warming. 

I couldn't find any intact surface hoar buried by the 1-2" of snow from Thursday night. All the potential locations were moist or wet at the surface today, but our high point was only 8500ft.
