Quick report
Departed winter TH 9:30am. Semi bushwhacking bootpack up along Tallac Creek tributary to southern end of 7K’ flats (11:45) where transitioned to ski boots and (occasionally posthole useful) gators when consistent snow commenced (end ski same spot). Summited via Cross snow climb 6:30 with good purchase by sharps all day except while traversing down low on a steep east-facing slope w poor bonding of recent light new snow. Consistent quality ski (w some minor rain runnels and old avy debris) via N-face to Right Arm Couloir 7:30. Ended ski 8:15, back at TH 10pm. Bluebird stable conditions all day though loose wet and rollers fairly recent. Also a couple bad sudden postholes that will worsen w warmer conditions. Noted some old rockfall though quiet all day for me. No cornice fall notice though route’s cornice is concerning given tight quarters especially w warm conditions through end of month. Bootpack reasonable w a bit of zigzagging to avoid brush, but melt is quickening and had to be deliberate w route-finding to maximize time on snow.
Avalanche
Mostly older loose wet, though did cross over relatively fresh roller balls and D1-2 loose wets on Cross and Right Arm (likely Weds). Also good size cornice still overhanging top of Cross.
