Quick report

Noticed a weak layer of snow about 3’ below the surface. The top of the snow had a bit of a crust with a couple inches of powdery snow beneath it once you broke through on skis. Definitely was showing results of warm temperatures especially on sunnier, sw facing slopes. Clouds started to roll in toward the afternoon with increased winds. Upon digging a test pit we noticed a weak layer of faceted snow about 3’ beneath the surface.
