We observed a number of avalanches during this short tour. Many of the steep slopes that we could see had avalanched. Small slopes produced avalanches that were large relative to the size of the path/starting zone. 

We experienced cracking and collapsing on just about every open slope we traveled on.

Afternoon weather obs: wind continuing to hammer the pass area, with average speeds estimated in the 20s MPH and gusts into the 50s. Single digit F temperatures. Light snowfall at times, but most of the snow in the air was put there by the wind.
