Snow hole showed 215cm snowpack with 4 layers in top 100cm (photo 1). 6500’ north facing in wind-sheltered location. 215cm surface - 170cm graupel layer (photo 2) - 145cm mid pack layer - 110cm ice layer. No signs of instability when traveling on all aspects. Weather oscillated between whiteout windy and overcast calm. Firm wind slab on ridges. Cornices forming on east-facing sub-ridges (photo 3). 10-20cm new snow. Great skiing.
