Quick report
Went two days in a row to 5200’ ridge. On Saturday skied lower than 30 degrees being solo. On Sunday skied steeper slopes, but at 4200’ and below. Saw nothing of concern on either day. Heavy, but good skiing deep, preserved powder was above 4800’. There was lots of wind effected snow on ridgetops. Below 4800’ there was a smooth, supportive crust with a trace to 2-3” snow on top. This crust was bulletproof, and not sliding…Because of the low snow year, this crust sat on 2’ or less of snow. Just inches near the highway at 2500’.
