Quick report
In a Level 1 AIARE course we toured around Grace Lakes. During test cuts we did not observe storm slab releases on small 35 degree rolls. In digging pits we found a 7cm thick crust about 95cm from the surface. This crust appears to have been breaking down and is a little less hard than the snow above and below it. In a compassion test we observed a sudden planar result 5cm just above this crust (CTH SP @90cm). There were mixed forms at this interface with some facets. There were no results in an ECT (ECTX).
