Quick report
Yesterday was not a great day to ski a N/NE aspect in Snoqualmie. It was a sunny day with comfortable temperatures but our aspect did not reap the benefits. The refrozen snow did not ski well and we had icy turns on snow that remained hard all day. There was a hard surface crust, supportable to skis but not always boots. No signs of new instability, though we saw an old glide crack from earlier in the week. Lots of open creeks/drainages to dodge. Lots of snowbridges appeared to have washed away this week. Even in the trees at the resort (Summit East), there are way more hazards (resurfacing logs, etc.) compared to a week ago.
