Quick report
No signs of avalanches. Recorded an approximately 80 cm deep snowpack at the Round Mountain Trailhead (approximately 4,000’). There is a stout crust buried 42 cm down. However, snow on top is unconsolidated and powdery in the shade. Observed warming mid-day when the sun popped out and released huuuuge tree bombs. Some of those bombs picked up steam as a result of the warming top layer of snow. Resulting in localized roller balling. Stuck to the road the whole way up and down because coverage is sparse at best below the trailhead off piste.
