Quick report
Did clockwise Chair Peak Circumnav, started at 6am and back to car at 1. Once we got above the Alpental inversion layer, boot pen increased to ankle-deep or more above Source Lake before sunrise. The snow was very wet and our skins got saturated pretty quickly. Nevertheless, ski pen was only a few millimeters most of the time in the morning, and we used ski crampons extensively as we skinned to the pass above Bryant Couloir. Bryant Couloir appears to have a rock band in the middle (pictured). Coverage was surprisingly poor in the Melakwa Lake basin (pictured). We skinned back across Snow Lake - there was no open water, but blue ice is starting to peep out from below the snow in places. Cache Couloir has continuous snow but the entrance looks tricky (pictured).
