Quick report
At about 4700' on a east facing aspect. Dug a pit about ~70cm down. About 20cm of soft snow on top (fist hardness) and hard crust at least another 50cm down (possibly more, we stopped digging) - about finger hardness. Did a (slightly janky) column test and did not observe any collapses.
