Quick report
Cold start to the day and never got too warm out there - felt like proper winter! Ridgeline winds were gusty and blowing around whatever snow could be picked up in the alpine. We not surprisingly encountered a grab bag of conditions out there, with the best snow on sheltered norths below 10k. More alpiney norths all had some degree of wind effect. We also saw some huge surface hoar crystals in the bottom of drainages! In general, stability felt good where we traveled and our biggest concerns were avoiding sharks and breakable crust.
