Quick report
No cracking or collapsing on my tour, but I noticed significant winds on the ridge. I decided to drop into the Senate/Galena basin, not wanting to go into any higher elevations. Snow was extremely variable, with S aspects only having enough of a crust to stay on top of without punching through.

I triggered a small, D.5/1 wind slab on a north facing aspect. I didn’t notice it had triggered until I had skied out of the area. Snow was mostly consolidated, but had drifted under a large rock formation, where it triggered above my tracks.
