Quick report
Very wet day for an AIARE 2, started from the Heather Meadows lot around 9:30 am. Consistent dense low fog once above the lot all the way to Artist Point, observed roller balls and pinwheels below trees on steeper slopes. We dug a pit around 5000 ft on SW face above Guidos. Wet melt/freeze grains to decomposing fragments to 40cm over a melt/freeze crust. Lot of wet melt/freeze grains under. Total snow depth measured at 360cm. All quite moist, except for a layer of almost dry (decomposing fragments) snow from 20cm-40cm. Dragging a pole entrained snow rapidly, but did not fan out.
