Quick report

Approximately 1 cm of surface hoar was present on all aspects at all elevations from 7200ft-8000ft. Sun and warm temps were beginning to affect Southern aspects but the facets were still intact when we left at noon. Dug quick pits at 7900 ft on both NW and S aspects. Snow depth on both aspects were between 60cm-70cm and showed generally right-side-up snowpacks down to the saturated rain crust. Both pits had a substantial layer (18cm on NW aspect, 7cm on S aspect) of 1mm-2mm facets at ground level beneath 1F slabs.
