Throughout the day, ski pen varied from 20-45cm, boot pen from 45 to 80cm and ground at times depending on snowpack structure and shrub presence. Overall, coverage is still thin and variable in depth with minor aspect shifts. Blowing snow on the ridges with obvious flagging on the crest, generally showing a SW flow today. Dug two pits. Both pits showed generally right side up structure (F- to 4F+) until reaching weaker (F) faceted snow near the ground. Pit #1 HS 75cm, 6430' E, shaded meadow, 1100AM CT11 SC 15cm down within the new snow CT13 SP 60cm down facets above MFcr, 1-2mm facets Boot Pen to the ground Pit #2 HS 95cm, 6510' E, 20 degree slope, open terrain, air temp 4C, 1130AM ECTP1 60cm down, when removing column, it failed in a secondary plane roughly 10cm thick Takeaway is that the snowpack is both fairly shallow and reactive. Lots of rocks, bushes and deadfall to be found as well.

Clear, calm day in the forest, light winds at the top of Trestle Peak. Observed blowing snow and moderate winds on the crest.

NW Aspect, ~7200' Schallenberger Ridge Likely released naturally during the storm. No tracks in. Looked to be full width of this slide path. Could have failed within new snow or at new/old interface. Hard to guestimate crown depth. Measuring from CalTopo, ~250' width SS-N-D2R4-S/I
